Track Feed Usage and Refill Schedules with Silo Monitoring
Managing feed levels efficiently can save costs, prevent animal stress, and ensure seamless operations. Radar sensors let you measure grain or pellet levels in silos and bins — even through dust, condensation, or closed lids.
Why it matters:
- Avoid running out of feed unexpectedly
- Detect overfeeding, theft, or waste
- Plan refills based on real usage trends
Key Benefits:
- Measures through dust and closed silo lids
- Long-range detection for tall bins (up to 15m)
- Works in all weather, without manual inspection
- Low power and easy to install
How it works:
The radar module is mounted at the top of the silo, measuring the distance to the feed surface. Combined with the known silo height, Grazertrack calculates the percentage fill level and tracks consumption over time.
Example Alerts & Reports:
- “Silo below 15% – refill soon.”
- “Feed usage higher than normal – check for mechanical issues or waste.”
- “Delivery received – 1.2 tons added to bin.”
